Our Work

Planning and Facilitation

We have long experience in facilitating strategic planning and decision-making processes. We can do everything from a simple half-day planning session that produces a pithy action plan, to a detailed multi-session planning process that sets your organisation’s direction for years to come. We try to avoid corporate jargon and produce plans that speak your language and guide your actions.

Research and Evaluation

It’s crucial to know why your are doing what you do, and to be able to test whether it is working. Our approach to evaluation begins with the research evidence for what works in your field, and moves on to clearly specifying the outcomes you are looking for and measuring whether you are achieving them. We bring together quantitative measures (like numbers of people served) with broad-based qualitative assessment (surveys, client feedback) and also like to take a ‘deep dive’ by talking in depth to a sample of consumers, stakeholders and staff.

Housing and Homelessness Policy

Jon Eastgate has been working in the housing and homelessness field for over 30 years and has a wide knowledge of policy and practice in this field. As a consultant he has worked for a number of the state and national Shelter organisations, analysing state and national policy developments and examining particular issues in detail. He keeps abreast of latest developments, writes for industry publications and is the current chair of the Queensland branch of the Australasian Housing Institute.

Service Improvement

We have experience in navigating change in all sorts of different ways. We have helped organisations prepare for amalgamation or transition of functions. We have helped organisations prepare for and adapt to the implementation of the NDIS with its seismic shift in disability service provision. We have helped organisations get ready to comply with the National Regulatory System for Community Housing. In all of this, we help organisations retain a keen focus on delivering outcomes for clients and remaining viable and sane in the process,
