Jon Eastgate

Jon started working in human services in 1983, in hands-on jobs in child protection and homelessness; moving on to advocacy, community development and policy roles with the Queensland Council of Social Service and Brisbane City Council. He has worked on social housing issues on and off for 25 years both at practical and policy levels.  He has also worked on projects involving social planning, network development, community facility planning and provision, and strategic planning. Jon’s role on the board of a community housing provider keeps him in touch with hands-on implementation as well as policy and planning.
